With several speakers in the permutation and combination, this column speaker not only enjoys a similar directivity as the single speaker in the horizontal, but also owns a highly-improved directivity in the vertical. Its sound radiation is spread like a fan in the horizontal direction. And due to the 3-dimensional plate-shaped radiation effect, this column speaker has a stronger directivity. For example, if this kind of column speaker is installed around a stage entrance, with its sound plate directing at audience, the acoustic beams of this speaker are radiated to back rows in the auditorium, with strong sound energy. And the front rows can only receive a relatively weakened sound, with a lower sound pressure. That lower sound pressure is caused by the phase separation because of the varying vertical distances of the speaker. That’s to say, the sound directing route of this speaker is close to an even distribution.
